A Tarrant County jury found Grace Head, 67, guilty of assault on her neighbor and scrawling racial graffiti on her garage door.
After one day of deliberations, jurors found Head guilty of both misdemeanor assault and misdemeanor criminal mischief. They said both crimes were racially motivated.
The defense argued temporary insanity for the December 2007 attack. The jury did not buy it.
Silk Littlejohn testified that Head came into her yard shouting racial slurs and then hit her in the face with a two-by-four. She then damaged her car and spray painted racial slurs on her garage door.
The punishment phase will begin on Monday.
