Deadline has learned some amazing news today, and it has to do with a sequel over a decade in the making.
It has now been confirmed that not only is “Jurassic Park 4” coming, and that it will be in 3D (something I don’t care for), but that it will be released June 13, 2014.
While Steven Spielberg (“Jaws”) will not be directing the fourth film of the franchise he will be producing (which I guess is good news).
Screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (“Rise of the Planet of the Apes”) had been working on the script for a while, and producer Kathleen Kennedy (just about every Steven Spielberg movie) has finally approved of it.
What this means is that within the next few months there will be a lot more news coming out from casting to plot details as they will have to move quickly to meet the deadline.
This is, hopefully, a great day for fans of dinosaur carnage, but I could still do without the 3D (Side note: I hope they film in 48 FPS).
