'Jurassic Park 4' arrives in 3D on June 13th 2014

Jurassic Park 4 has been developing off and on for years, but the past year has seen Steven Spielberg really buckling down and getting to it. A story had been developed, which Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa(co-writers on Rise of the Planet of the Apes) were recently hired to pen, and recently producer Frank Marshall expressed a desire to have it in theaters in 2014. Looks like he's getting his wish.

Jurassic Park 4 will stomp our way on June 13th 2014. Although no director is attached, Universal Pictures wants it shot in 3D, to the surprise of absolutely no one. Spielberg is only on board to produce, but depending on who you ask he could step back into the director's chair. His Robopocalypse was recently put on hiatus while he irons out a new script, so there's always the chance he trades robots for dinosaurs.

Whoever does take the job should get a solid script to work with. Silver and Jaffa did a great job on 'Apes', which is very similar in style and scope to what we can expect from Jurassic Park 4. Come to think of it, maybe Rupert Wyatt would be a good pick?

So, are you excited? If so, you can always check out Jurassic Park 3D on April 5th.
