UPDATED FEBRUARY 2, 8PM: Rescue has arrived safely with Falcor (great name!). He did great on the ride back and even let them know when he had to go "potty." Falcor also had an embedded collar. More info when it becomes available. As for now, they're about to treat him to some classical music.

This big beauty, turned in as a stray, is set up for rescue today, Facebook reported February 2.

A Saint Bernard mix, who doesn't even have a name at this time, was turned in as a stray to Montgomery County Animal Shelter in Conroe, Texas after he was found roaming.

Even though this dog is likely in tremendous pain, the staff at the Montgomery shelter says he's still switching his tail for them.

These heartbreaking photos went viral on Facebook, and now Jurassic Bark Rescue has stepped up to save this boy. He'll be picked up this evening by the caring people at this 501c3 rescue, who specializes in large breed rescue. Jurassic Bark is dedicated to helping the stray, the abandoned and neglected dogs in the Houston area.

They'll have their work cut out for them with this poor baby. No word yet on what happened to get him into this pitiful condition. Whether it was abuse or neglect or both, Jurassic Bark will definitely need donations to nurse him back to health. He has a long way to go before being ready for a forever home.

Hopefully a foster has been found to care for him in a quiet and loving home environment. Several people have offered to help with him on the Facebook thread.

If you would like to donate toward the medical care he so desperately needs, please click here to visit the Jurassic Bark Rescue website. If you prefer to make a donation directly to his vet at Stafford Oaks Vet Hospital 281-499-3538.

Please share this boy. An update article will be published after he undergoes an exam by the vet and a diagnosis is made.
