Junior Achievement of Central Maryland (JACMD) has been educating K-12 students about entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy since 1957. Through their efforts, Junior Achievement will engage more than 40,000 students in Maryland this year. Special events are a major source of JA of Central Maryland’s funding that participants always find to be fun, rewarding, positive experiences. And now the non-profit has announced that Colleen Ashley has joined the organization as their new manager of operations and special events.
In addition to organizing and fundraising for special events, Ms. Ashley will be responsible for creating and executing marketing and branding strategies, devising social media plans, managing the organizational website, supporting the board of directors - and maintaining public relations.
“I am so thankful to be working for an organization like Junior Achievement that makes such a positive impact on the local community,” Ashley said.
“My goals for this new position are to raise awareness through marketing campaigns, to generate funding through special events, and to build solid relationships with additional corporations and individuals in the 12 counties we serve and beyond,” she added.
Ashley formerly served as the business relations assistant with Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania.
Congratulations on your new position, and Welcome to Colleen Ashley!
JACMD is always looking for interested parties to participate in a special event as a sponsor, event volunteer, committee member or in some other capacity.
