June Fitness Events in Atlanta

If you’re looking for some fun in the sun June is another hopping month for health and fitness events in Atlanta. Here are just a few buzz worthy happenings suitable for participators as well as spectators.

Piedmont Park will be hosting the 5K Walk to End Violence against Women on June 2nd. This kid friendly event will also include blood pressure screening, face painting and a free t-shirt. It’s not too late to register; adults are $25 but kids and dogs are free!

At the Summer Break Block Party being held June 23rd its non-stop shopping for your senses. After the 5K run you can reward yourself with an ice cold beer and live music. This multi faceted shindig will be held at the corner of Main and Milton Avenue in Marietta, GA beginning at 7pm. The course has been deemed an official Atlanta Peachtree Road Race qualifier and all runners can enjoy a free beer!

The Take Steps for Crohn’s disease and Colitis Walk is your opportunity to walk for another great cause, besides your health. This is one of Atlanta’s largest fundraisers being held on June 9th at 4pm and is sure to be fitness fun for a remarkable cause.

With all this and more going on throughout the summer there’s no excuse not to get out and get fit while supporting your community and having some fun!
