For the third year, Brandywine Valley's finest food and wine vendors will come together to host the Brandywine Food and Wine Festival. The event will be held on June 14 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Myrick Conservation Center in West Chester, PA. This all day event will include entertainment from local bands, crafts, seminars and food demonstrations from a local culinary chef.
The food vendors range from unique restaurants like Amani's BYOB, owned by the "Best Chef in Chester County" to light fare that pair well with wine like the delectable cheeses from Farm Fromage in Lancaster County. There will also be vendors to satisfy your sweet tooth such as Dia Doce's gourmet cupcakes or Kilby Cream's ice cream.
My favorite part of the festival is the wine! As of today, there are nine wineries that will be at the event to showcase their wines. I've been to four wineries on the list and they all were great, so I am very excited to see what the other wineries have to offer. The best part is that they will all be in one place.
- Black Walnut Winery
- Borderland Vineyard
- Grace Winery
- Kreutz Creek Vineyards
- Paradocx Vineyards - LOVE!
- Patone Cellars
- Penns Woods Winery - LOVE!
- Stone Barn Cellars Winery
- Ten Gallon Hat Winery
Unfortunately, all of this is not free, but for what you get for the price is totally worth it. For only $15.00 prepaid ($20.00 on day of event) you get 10 tasting tickets, a bottle of water, souvenir wine glass, and access to the demonstrations. If you like, you can bring the kids for a small price (under 21 is $5.00, under 10 is free). You can purchase tickets at any of the wineries mentioned above by June 13th, or you can purchase them online until June 7th.
Get ready for a day of food, fun, music, and best of all WINE!
Hope to see you there.
