Everything is awesome when you bring home the greatest movie ever assembled, The LEGO Movie on DVD, Blu-ray and Blu-ray 3D. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, it tells the hilarious story of Emmet, an ordinary nobody LEGO minifigure, who is mistakenly identified as The Special (an extraordinary Master Builder) and ends up saving everybody. It stars Chris Pratt as the voice of Emmet and Will Ferrell as the voice of President Business, aka evil Lord Business, an uptight CEO who has a hard time balancing world domination with micro-managing his own life. Voicing the members of Emmet’s rebel crew on this heroic mission are Morgan Freeman as the ancient mystic Vitruvius; Elizabeth Banks as tough-as-nails Wyldstyle, who mistakes Emmet for the savior of the world and guides him on his quest; Will Arnett as the mysterious Batman, a LEGO minifigure with whom Wyldstyle shares a history; Nick Offerman as the craggy, swaggering pirate Metal Beard, obsessed with revenge on Lord Business; Alison Brie as the sweet and loveable Unikitty and Charlie Day as Benny, the 1980-something Spaceman.

The LEGO Movie follows the extraordinary computer-animated story of Emmet Brickowski, a perfectly average LEGO minifigure who obeys all the rules and works as a construction worker. One day after work, Emmet comes across a mysterious woman named Wyldstyle who is searching for the Piece of Resistance, the key to stopping evil Lord Business and a superweapon called the “Kragle.” When he investigates, he ends up falling into a hole and discovers an unusual red piece that turns out to be the Piece of Resistance. Compelled to touch it, he experiences vivid visions before passing out.

When Emmet awakens, he finds the Piece of Resistance stuck to his back and in the custody of Bad Cop with a split “Good Cop” personality, Business’ lieutenant. There, he learns of Business’ plan to freeze the world with the Kragle, a tube of Krazy Glue. Wylestyle rescues Emmet and takes him to Bricksburg into another realm, the Old West, to meet the wizard Vitruvius. It turns out she and Vitruvius are Master Builders who can create anything without instruction manuals, using their imagination. Business disapproves of such anarchic creativity and captured many of the Master Builders, and intends to set everything in place once and for all with the Kragle. To their disappointment, Emmet, who they believed was The Special, is not a Master Builder and displays no creativity. However, all hope is not lost when they realize that his obstacle-free mind may be brimming with potential creativity, after he recounts visions of “the Man Upstairs.” Still deeming Emmet to be special, he is drafted to go on an heroic epic quest, joined by an awesome rebel crew, to defeat Business’ and restore free creativity to all the realms of the universe.
