The cult-classic Showgirls (1995) celebrates its 15th anniversary with a first-time release on Blu-ray in the sinsational edition. Nomi Malone (Elizabeth Berkley) is a runaway who has big dreams to become a star dancer in Las Vegas. Left stranded in Sin City, Molly (Gina Ravera) befriends and encourages her to follow her dreams. From a stripper at Cheetah's topless club, she claws her way to the top and makes her showgirl dreams come true in Goddess at the Stardust. However, the intense rivalry with dancer Cristal Connors (Gina Gershon) and the ugly world behind the glitz and glam may be a heftier price than she can afford to pay. From the darkness appears the new face of
justice and another enemy of crime.
Sam Raimi's Darkman (1990) is released for the very first time on Blu-ray. Liam Neeson stars as Dr. Peyton Westlake, a.k.a. Darkman, who is attacked by mobster Robert G. Durant (Larry Drake) and his thugs when they come to his laboratory looking for incriminating evidence left by his attorney girlfirend Julie Hastings (Frances McDormand) that threatens to expose the corrupt developer Louis Strack Jr. (Colin Friels) and the city's zoning commission. Severely burned and left for dead after they blow up his laboratory, Westlake is saved by a radical procedure that suppresses pain and heightens his strength, but leaves him mentally unstable. With the help of his newly developed synthetic skin (that has limited lifespan in the light), Westlake uses different masks and personas to exact revenge on the enemies who destroyed everything he loved.
