In this week's new releases, we start off with Walt Disney and Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland where 19-year-old Alice prefers to follow a white rabbit over a marriage proposal. Down the rabbit hole, she finds herself in the oppressive Underland (Wonderland) where the Red Queen instills fear in everyone's hearts. To return Underland back to the peaceful White Queen, Alice must find her inner champion to fulfill her destiny and kill the Jabberwocky. Next we have a much darker tale of a cursed bloodcurdling creature in The Wolfman. Townspeople are being savagely murdered and Lawrence Talbot has returned from London to uncover the truth. However, what lies in wait for him is much more sinister than he ever dreamed of, threatening to destroy any lingering ties with his estranged family and the Blackmoor residents. From the fantastical, we experience an entirely different sense of amazement in Life. Traveling to all the continents, we experience up close how animals and plants survive on Earth. We get to observe how they gather food, mate and thrive in some of the harshest conditions. From heart-pounding action to serene beauty, you will be mesmerized by this educational delight. Finally, we have two popular movies, Bad Boys and War of the Worlds, released for the very first time on Blu-ray.
From the BBC and the Discovery Channel, producers of Planet Earth and The Blue Planet: Seas Of Life, comes the nature documentary series called Life. Painstakingly created over a four-year span and filmed over 3000 days, the series capture life over all continents of the world and every habitat. Out of 130 amazing stories, there are 54 which have been filmed for the very first time. In ten 50-minute episodes, you will experience the stunning beauty of life and the Darwinian mentality of animals and plants to survive. Each episode will take you from the deap sea to the the skies as you witness how each creature struggles to continue its species' life span as it hunts for food, use courting rituals to mate and protect its young. Watch as a mother octopus chooses the ultimate life sacrifice and starves to death to protect her eggs. See a pebble toad choose to free-fall down a steep rock face to avoid a deadly tarantula. It is awe-inspiring, intense and an educational treat for the entire family. Choose to watch Life narrated by Oprah Winfrey or renowned naturalist David Attenborough.

Alien Tripods have been waiting for the
moment to annihilate humanity.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, Oscar-nominated War of the Worlds is a contemporary science fiction film loosely based on H.G. Well's novel and is now available for the very first time on Blu-ray. Bayone, NJ resident Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) is a dock worker who is watching his children for a few days while his ex-wife Mary Ann (Miranda Otto) is off to visit her parents in Boston. Estranged from his children, Rachel (Dakota Fanning) and Robbie (Justin Chatwin), since the divorce, Ferrier tries to deal with the situation as best he can until Mary Ann returns. When his rebelious son takes the car without permission and Ray goes to search for him, he finds something much more sinister. First there is an electromagnetic storm and then a killer Tripod war machine emerges from the asphalt. It starts firing with the Heat-Ray, vaporizing everything in sight. Ray's fatherly instinct kicks in and he hurriedly packs the children to make the trek to Boston and meet his ex-wife. Will they be able to make it safely, avoiding the deadly wrath of the alien Tripods that have been watching them all this time and steer clear of the U.S. Military's line of fire? Morgan Freeman voices the novel's narration at the beginning and end of the film.
