On Sunday, Feb. 17, in an effort to fight childhood obesity, the Jump for Joy Foundation and Tao Cares teamed up to present the Dance Against Obesity Camp J.U.M.P. at Tao Nightclub in Las Vegas, Nev.

More than 200 kids ages 6-17 got their groove on, learning dance routines and moving to the sounds of Tao Group’s resident DJs Vice and Lema.

While the kids were on the dance floor, Tao Group’s Corporate Executive Sous Chef Marc Marrone and Paul Rosenberg of the Real Results Fitness taught parents to create fast, affordable and healthy meals at home from.

BMX Pro Ricardo Laguna, boxer Lonnie Love, featured performers Visual Audio, The Prodigy Dance Crew, Sean and John, Hypontix/WHK/TPB and The Rock Center for Dance were there to cheer on the kids.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in the past 30 years obesity has more than doubled in children and tripled in adolescents. They also report that in 2010, more than one third of children and adolescents were overweight or obese.
