Animals from the SPCA of Texas' Dealey Animal Care Center in Dallas:

Buddy is a good ‘ol Texas, country boy, a Dalmatian, Retriever, Lab mix. He is almost two years old and has been at the SPCA of Texas since June 3. His previous owner brought him here because they just did not have the time to give him the love and care he deserves. Buddy has made lots of friends at the SPCA of Texas, but he really wants a home of his own where he can settle in and enjoy time with a family. He is a sweet and gentle boy, and he loves kids and gets along well with other dogs. Please come see Buddy at the SPCA of Texas, and let him be your Buddy forever. Buddy is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because he has been at the SPCA of Texas since June 3, therefore he has a special adoption price of $50! #9368946

Cosita is a 5-year-old, black, Domestic Shorthaired kitty cat. Here at the SPCA of Texas, we call her a VIP - it means she is a Very Important Pet, and she has been waiting patiently at the SPCA of Texas since March 2 to go home with you! She is a very loving kitty, has good manners, and she is house-trained. She may be a little more mature, but she still has lots of playful kitty left in her. Not to mention, her soft coat and good looks make her an attractive addition to any home. Please come visit Cosita at the SPCA of Texas today. She's been waiting for you! Cosita is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because she has been at the SPCA of Texas since March 2, therefore she has a special adoption price of $50! #9819027

Tex - If some fellow at the State Fair had not already taken the name, you could call him Big Tex. But since he got the idea first, how about just calling this pup Tex. He's a 9-year-old, Rhodesian Ridgeback-Catahoula Leopard mix, and he has been at the SPCA of Texas since June 1. His owners had a new baby and decided that they just would not have enough time for Tex, so here he is. He is a smart fellow because he knows how to "sit" and "lie down", and he will also give you his paw when you come to see him. Tex is also housebroken, and a mature boy so he won't chew up all your shoes and furniture! For good measure, he gets along with other dogs and even with cats. He tends to be a little reserved at first, part of his British-Rhodesian background, but if you will give him a little attention, he will come out of his shell for you. He would be a great companion for those morning outings, so please come down and visit Tex. In the meantime, “cheers.” #10647530

Maui is a 4-year-old, white and grey, Domestic Medium Hair tabby cat. He was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on May 19 because the other animals in his home did not get along with him. He has lived with dogs, and gets along with them very well, but he prefers to be the only cat in the house. He is a very affectionate boy who wants ALL your loving for himself! He is declawed on his front paws, so for his own protection, he should be an indoor only cat! He is looking for a forever home with loving people who will be very loyal and devoted to him. He will be waiting to meet you at the Mesquite Petsmart beginning Thursday, June 24. Come see him soon! Maui is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because he has been at the SPCA of Texas since May 19, therefore he has a special adoption price of $50! #10513996

Abby is a lovely lady with a beautiful, black and white coat. She is a 4-year-old, Domestic Shorthair who was surrendered to the SPCA of Texas on April 23. Her owner brought her here because she was having a little trouble getting along with the other animals in the household. But don’t let that stop you from coming to see her. She loves humans and wants nothing more than to spend long, lazy summer days snuggled up beside you. She is a very friendly, affectionate girl who loves to chit chat and curl up in your lap for some attention. She would be the perfect addition for your home! Please come see her at the SPCA of Texas, and make her your forever companion. Abby is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because she has been at the SPCA of Texas since April 23, therefore he has a special adoption price of $50! #10271334

Point  was brought to the SPCA of Texas by his owners because there were too many pets in the family. Point is a 6-month-old, black, Retriever mix with sweet eyes and perky, little ears. He is a playful, young, guy who loves fetching the tennis ball. People around here say that he is really smart, too. He may come off as a little shy at first, but he's a very lovable pup. He just needs someone who is willing to spend some time helping him build his confidence. But, as much as he loves to play, he loves to snuggle, too. If you are looking for a great pal, Point is here waiting to meet you! #10507465

Tim is a black, Lab who loves to play and dance! Although he was transferred here to the SPCA of Texas on June 3, he may have had a caring owner at some point since he knows how to sit and lie down. He is also great on a leash and may even be housebroken! Even though he's getting a little grey, Tim is one of the feistiest, most playful pups in this joint! He loves to run and play outside, and get lots of attention from his human friends. He can wiggle, and shake and wag his tail longer than any puppy in this place! He's a very lovable boy with a lot of great years left in him! Come see for yourself. #10665243

Duchess was brought to the SPCA of Texas March 10 to find her new home. She was surrendered by her previous owner because there were too many animals in the house. She is a beautiful, female, Domestic Shorthaired tabby with ten years of perfection behind her. She doesn't mean to brag, but she really is the "pick of the litter." She doesn't have any allergies or medical problems. She is also litter trained, and she would be a quiet, mellow companion. She would probably be best in a family of adults only where she's the only kitty cat. Duchess enjoys being brushed, and is friendly and welcoming to all. Stop by for a visit. You'll be sure to take her home with you! Duchess is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because she has been at the SPCA of Texas since March 10, therefore she has a special adoption price of $50! #5425917

Jackie is a 7-year-old Domestic Longhaired kitty. Her previous owner surrendered her to the SPCA of Texas on March 6. She is a little bit shy at first, but she warms up quickly and is very affectionate. She has beautiful white and grey fur, and she likes to be brushed. Her forever home needs to be one without small children because sometimes they can be really rough with her. She would prefer to be your one and only kitty because dogs and other cats tend to scare her. Jackie is a wonderful, easygoing girl who is very loving and sweet. If you think you are the right home for her, please come visit her at the SPCA of Texas today. Jackie is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because she has been at the SPCA of Texas since March 6, therefore she has a special adoption price of $50! #9842695

Dean is a 2-year-old, Australian Shepherd mix. His owners adopted him from the SPCA of Texas, and then had to return him May 26 due to landlord issues. He's a mid-sized guy at 53 pounds. Dean is housetrained and was an inside dog at his former home. He loves going on walks, chasing after balls, playing tug-of-war and spending time with his family. He is good with kids and yearns to be with his new family so he can have lots of love and attention. He has a gorgeous coat and a bright white smile. Come and check Dean out today at the SPCA of Texas! Dean is also a V.I.P (Very Important Pet) because he has been at the SPCA of Texas since May 26, therefore he has a special adoption price of $50! #7377146
