With Season 16 of Big Brother rapidly approaching, fans are waiting with held breath to find out who is going to be on this year’s show. The “twist after twisted twist” could mean many things on a show where we can expect the unexpected. We found that out last year where more than twists kept viewers on their toes.
On Wednesday’s The Talk, Big Brother host Julie Chen did talk. She gave up some information about the upcoming summer reality show. At least a little. Julie is a woman who knows how to keep a secret and this season is no different.
What Julie did share was that there are going to be two head of household positions each week. The two HOHs will fight for their lives in a “Battle of the Block” competition to determine who will be safe each week.
Because there are going to be two HOHs, this will double the eviction nominees. Wow, as if it didn’t get crazy enough.
A new #TeamAmerica twist is added as well. This will mean some viewer involvement, although there isn’t a whole lot of information on the new twist as of yet. As I said, Julie is a woman who knows when to keep quiet.
There was no mention of any veteran players vs. the newbies or relatives vs. other players or even any All-Stars. This doesn’t mean that it won’t be intertwined somehow. The season never ceases to amaze viewers on new twists that are left unwrapped until the last moment.
Julie gave these details on The Talk:
“This year, not one, but two houseguests will win HOH every week. Each HOH will have the responsibility of nominating two houseguests for nomination. That means four houseguests will be on the chopping block every week. And, just because you are HOH, doesn’t mean you are safe this year. A brand new competition called “Battle of the Block” will be played. And, one more thing. You, the fans are going to be influencing the game in a new interactive twist called “Team America.” This, I promise you, will be the most twisted season of Big Brother yet.”
Two HOHs will mean complete insanity in the house. How will any alliances be made? It’s going to be tough to form alliances this season without a true trust or bond. It will, without a doubt, be the craziest season yet.
It is Big Brother and we all know that this twist isn’t going to be the only way Big Brother keeps the competitors hopping.
