Julianne Hough wraps filming on 'Safe Haven' in Southport, N.C.

That's all, folks!

The movie "Safe Haven," based on the book by Nicholas Sparks, started filming in Wilmington, North Carolina in mid-June. They moved to nearby Southport, N.C. — where the novel is also set — in early July. After a busy final week of filming in mid-August, the production appears to have moved on.

Julianne Hough of "Rock of Ages" and "Dancing With the Stars" plays the main character, Katie, opposite "Transformers" actor Josh Duhamel as Alex.

Cobie Smulders of "The Avengers" and "How I Met Your Mother" plays Jo and young actors Mimi Kirkland and Noah Lomax play Alex's children.

On August 15, Julianne tweeted, "Saying goodbye to my temporary children @mimikirkland and @noahlomaxthekid best kids on the planet!!!!!"

Julianne also added, "So excited to see my man tomorrow :)," seeming to refer to her boyfriend, "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest.

On August 17 Julianne tweeted, "Good Morning LA! So nice to be in my own house, my own bed, and in clothes I haven't worn in over 2 months! Wrapped @safehavenmovie :)"

A Southport resident named Laurie Rockenbach tweeted in reply, "@juliannehough @safehavenmovie All of us here in Southport are sorry to see the cast and crew of Safe Haven leave, we are going to miss you!"

So that's it, until the actors and director Lasse Hallstrom start doing press before the movie opens on on February 8, 2013. Then we'll see how all the time — and money — spent in Southport pays off.
