Julianne Hough was the guest judge on Monday night’s Dancing With the Stars and she offered some interesting commentary. The professional dancer made a promise to ABC News on Monday to be honest with her feedback, but nobody thought she might decide that personal attacks were part of the competition. Taking a swipe at Maksim Chmerkovskiy who was the switch partner with Danica McKellar, things got a little uncomfortable.
“I felt like it was a little bit like this week you had to get past to be back with Meryl and you just had to phone it in,” said Julianne Hough taking a swipe at Maksim Chmerkovskiy after the performance. While the feedback had little to do with Danica McKellar, it was obvious that Julianne is looking to make her mark behind the judging table by attacking a fellow professional dancer.
As everyone knows, Maks has been very careful not to get personal this season of Dancing With the Stars. He has focused on the dancers, given some great performances and hasn't been heard complaining at all.
Interestingly enough was Danica McKellar’s response. She looked horrified by the suggestion and Maks’ brother didn’t looked pleased either. While Maksim Chmerkovskiy might be a bit loud, he definitely isn't lazy nor would he try to sink a contestant as he is too passionate for that type of behavior.
This wasn't the only off the cuff remark by Julianne Hough during the competition, but it made everyone very aware that she is looking for a job on Dancing With the Stars (and it isn't being a pro dancer either.) She wouldn't be a good choice for the show permanently as her feedback is constantly attacking and rarely offers dancer's advice for improvement.
