Julianne Hough’s car was robbed in Hollywood. She parked her Mercedes in an apartment parking lot Friday night, and the dancer left a few gifts from Ryan Seacrest stashed inside – three pieces of jewelry worth a total of $100,000. TMZ reports the story on Thursday, March 14.
Everybody knows better than to leave valuables in a car, in an unguarded parking lot. Didn’t they have warning signs? Didn’t she listen to her parents? Julianne Hough’s car was robbed, probably within a very few minutes after she left it. Right away is favored timing for thieves who may keep their eyes on particular prize parking locations.
There are no specifics on the three particular pieces of jewelry that were lost, but TMZ has confirmed the value. Apparently the thief had no trouble finding the items wherever Julianne left them, whether under the seat or in the glove box. When she returned, the door was open and the entire car had been ransacked.
It’s unlikely the jewelry will turn up. Now the questions begin. Were the items insured? Will Ryan replace them? Has Julianne learned a lesson about city life? But it’s no fun to own expensive bling and then keep in a safety deposit box all the time. There’s no really good answer to the problem.
