Former ‘Dancing With The Stars’ pro Julianne Hough admits that she has not always felt confident about her skin and that her battle with her acne was a tough one.
The ‘Footloose’ star became a spokeswoman for the acne cleansing system ‘Proactiv’ and said that being in an industry that bases a lot of merit on a clear face was difficult for her while she had acne. She said;
“You try to tell yourself that you’re fine and it’s all good — and you really should be fine — but it definitely affects you. You want to do what you can to make you feel good.”
Now that Hough has gotten through the worst of her skin problems, she says she really feels the best about herself when she’s with her family. Julianne said;
“There’s just a certain glow you have when you’re with your loved ones. I love to get glammed up and feel that my hair looks great, and my skin looks good and when my legs are shaved and I’m wearing high heels. I think that how you were raised, no matter what size, what color hair, anything — it comes from within and if you’re confident on the outside and have a great personality and really love who you are internally, then that’s what’s beautiful.”
