In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Julianne Hough admits she was abused as a child when she traveled overseas to London at the young age of 10.
Hough, who is known for not only being an actress and a singer, but for dating Ryan Seacrest, tells the popular magazine that the abuse began when her parents shipped her off to London to partake in intense and sensual dance lessons.
Unfortunately for Hough, she was abused by adults who took advantage of the fact that she was alone in a foreign country with no adult supervision.
"I was a tormented little kid who had to put on this sexy façade because that was my job and my life," she says, adding, “but my heart was the same, and I was this innocent little girl. I wanted so much love."
Julianne also says that despite her age, the way she danced made her appear older than she really was.
“I was 10 years old looking like I was 28, being a very sensual dancer,” she added.
As far as outing the person or persons that abused her, Hough says that she has no plans to reveal the name(s). Instead, she’s more focused on moving forward with both her life and career.
"I'm a very forgiving person, and I don't want to hurt anybody," she says. "What's past is past," added Hough.
