Julian Lennon went live on TV Thursday with a performance of his new single "Lookin' 4 Luv" from his forthcoming album "Everything Changes." The performance (which can be seen at left) was on the Scottish TV show "The Hour."
On the show, he said he hadn't seen the recent film about his father, "Nowhere Boy." "I know about the real stories so I don’t tend to watch things that are necessarily fabricated," he told show hosts Michelle McManus and Tam Cowan.
Asked for his favorite musicians, he said his tastes generally run old school. He listed Steely Dan, Keith Jarrett, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and Blue Nile as some of his choices. Among his current choices from the pop charts, he said, "Currently Adele, I like quite a bit. There are a few good ones out there."
He also indicated a kinship with Scotland, saying, “There’s quite a few family up here, actually. We’re all over the place."
Update: Lennon also appeared on RTE Television's "The Late Late Show" on Friday. You can see his performance here about 44 minutes into the show.
He'll will appear on "Weekend Wogan" on BBC Radio 2 Sunday at 11 a.m. UK time.
