Julia Roberts sizzles at 46, thanks to a low-carb, gluten-free diet and rigorous workouts.
Despite her willowy figure, Roberts insists she's not obsessive about dieting. Julia said she has never followed fad diets, preferring to eat vegetables, salads and other whole, unprocessed foods.
"I’m not crazed about what I eat," Julia told the Daily Mail. "I’m currently experimenting with a gluten-free diet, but I’m not willing to go without treats. I made gluten-free cookies and four loaves of bread for the freezer yesterday before leaving home."
Roberts, a mom of three, also loves cooking healthy meals at home using fresh, organic ingredients. Julia's workout routine includes running, yoga, Pilates, swimming, playing tennis, and cycling. "I don't want [exercise] to change my life," she said. "Just my butt."
Roberts prefers a less-is-more approach to her beauty routine. She doesn't wear makeup or style her hair when she's not working, and makes sure she washes her face before going to bed.
Roberts said she tried Botox once but hated how it made her look. “I tried the Botox one time and was permanently surprised for a couple months," she told Access Hollywood. "It was not a cute look for me.”
Still, Julia doesn't judge others who embrace Botox or plastic surgery to stay youthful. "It’s whatever works for the person,” she said. “I don’t want to judge somebody who can’t turn their head or move their lips. If that’s going to bring you joy, I’m all for it."
