Julia Robert's half-sister found dead: Nancy Motes, 37, worked in show business

Julia Robert's half-sister has been found dead from an apparent drug overdose. Nancy Motes, 37, was found dead in Los Angeles on Sunday, reports NBC News on Feb. 10.

A press release from Julia Robert's representative states that her half sister's death looks to be a drug overdose. The statement also said that they will have the official cause of death when the coroner's report is complete.

The statement was sent to E! The statement starts off saying "It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Motes....confirms that she was found dead in Los Angeles yesterday of an apparent drug over dose."

Motes was also in show business, she worked behind the cameras as a production assistant on "Glee." She was planning to marry John Dilbeck in May.

Julia Roberts didn't go to the Oscar luncheon today. She's been nominated as Best Supporting Actress for her role in "August: Osage County." She bowed out to stay with family at this sad time.
