When preparing for a fashion show, anything that will happen will.  But  the worst imaginable thing is to have your collection stolen just days before the show.

Julia Clancey, London fashion designer is in Los Angeles to showcase her 2010 summer collection at a charity benefit this weekend. This afternoon the designer announced that she is canceling the Sunday show because her collection was stolen from her apartment.

On Tuesday Federal Express delivered boxes consisting of 40 garments worth $300,000, to the designer’s Marina del Rey apartment. Thereafter, the boxes mysteriously disappeared.

LA County Sheriff’s department is investigating the stolen garments. Clancey is offering a $5,000 reward for the return of her collection.

Julia Clancey is a favorite among celebrities such as Mariah Carey, Keira Knightly and Victoria Beckham and designs have been featured in Vogue, InStyle and ELLE magazines.

what happened to all of the horrible comments about julia that used to be under this article? every single one of them was TRUE. she's a lying, stealing, waste of human space. everyone i know rolls their eyes when you mention her or complains about how she screwed them out of insane amounts of money. she should move back to the UK, which will probably happen soon when all the legal action catches up with her
