A teen-aged model who appeared in commercials for the Pittsburgh Pirates will represent Pennsylvania at the Miss Teen USA 2012 pageant in the Bahamas.
Julia Belechak was crowned Miss Pennsylvania Teen USA 2012 in ceremonies Sunday in Pittsburgh.
According to her website, she has also modeled in shows for Macy's, Dick's Sporting Goods and American Eagle.
She was also a top 10 finalist in the national American Miss Junior Teen in 2009, was a top 10 finalist for Miss Teen Pennsylvania-World 2009, and is a former Miss Pennsylvania High School America who also finished as a top 10 finalist in its national pageant.
"She plans to graduate college with a degree in broadcast journalism and become an entertainment news reporter," according to the Miss Pennsylvania USA website.
"Julia is the captain of her cheerleading squad, a member of the Care Team and involved in acting," according to pageant officials. "She describes herself as ambitious, aspiring and compassionate."
Finishing in the top 5 on Sunday were:
- First Runner-up Alex-Taylor Deitz of Wexford;
- Second Runner-up Sydney Robertson of Williamsport;
- Third Runner-up Elle Eutsey of Connellsville; and
- Fourth Runner-up Katie Smith of McVeytown.

- Olivia Hamm of Knox; and
- Alyssa Sullivan of Greencastle.
Elle Eutsey was voted Miss Congeniality and Caroline Collins was named Miss Photogenic.
