Julia Annis captures second female athlete of the week

2013/2014 winter season- Week 11-February 10th-February 16th.


Julia Annis- Foxcroft- basketball/swimming- Scored 22 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in 61-47 class B prelim victory over Old Town. Scored eight points and six rebounds in 33-25 quarterfinal victory over Waterville. Annis is second in the big east in rebounding.

In swimming, Annis placed first in 100 breast stroke and second in 200 individual medley breaking the school record.

This is the second time that Annis has earned athlete of the week. It is the 16th time a Foxcroft Academy student/athlete has captured AOW. Click here for the full list of athlete of the week winners.

Parise Rossignol- Van Buren- basketball- Recorded 47 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in 84-28 class D prelim victory over East Grand.

Other nominations

Courtney Gordon- Mattanawcook- basketball- The freshman scored 14 points, including 12 in the first half and played strong defense to hold Lee scoreless in 54-34 class C prelim victory over Lee Academy.

Hannah Graham- Presque Isle- basketball- Recorded 19 points, eight assists, and five steals in 67-42 quarterfinal victory over Gardiner.

Krytal Kingsbury- Presque Isle- basketball- Recorded 20 points, nine rebounds, and four steals in 67-42 quarterfinal victory over Gardiner.

Regan Nelson- Presque Isle- basketball- Recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, and five steals in 67-42 quarterfinal victory over Gardiner.
