Each year, the lovely historic Julia-Ann Square hosts a Victorian Christmas tour that showcases its charm and hospitality. This year the district will feature five homes, beautifully bedecked in holiday cheer.
Guided walking tours of the homes are on Saturday December 1 at 1 pm and 3 pm, with the Candelight Tour beginning at 6 pm. Tickets for these tours include a Victorian tea, and are $15/person.
If you prefer to tour the homes without a guide, self guided tours will be available on Sunday December 2. Tickets are $10/person.
Tickets for the Christmas Tour will be available for purchase on the day of the events at the First United Methodist Church located on the corner of 10th Street and Juliana Street. Advance tickets can be purchased online.
In walking through the square myself, I met a homeowner who allowed my husband and I to tour his home. He was so gracious and kind, and shared stories of previous Christmas tours. Those involved with the Christmas Tour don full Victorian garb, complete with horsedrawn carriages and buggys. This will be a special event that could become a holiday family tradition.
