Judicial Watch releases Washington’s ‘Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians’ for 2012

Judicial Watch, a conservative, non-partisan educational foundation that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law yesterday issued a press release outlining their top ten most corrupt politicians for 2012 which included President Obama.

Out of the top ten, two were Republicans Rep. Vern Buchanan and Rep. David Rivera of Florida.

The other eight corrupt politicians, Democrats, which made the list, were:

• Secretary of Energy Steven Chu
• Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and UN Ambassador Susan Rice
• Attorney General Eric Holder
• Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-IL)
• Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ)
• President Barack Obama
• Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV)
• Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius

Four of the most notable politicians in the report were President Obama, Nevada Democratic US Senator and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Senator Harry Reid made last year’s list due to a “July 30, 2012, headline in the Las Vegas Review-Journal that alerted Nevadans to Sen. Harry Reid’s latest influence-peddling scandal – this one involving ENN Energy Group, a Chinese “green energy” client of the Nevada law firm of which Reid’s son, Rory, is a principal. And according to Peter Schweizer, writing for Fox News on December 12, 2012, “Sen. Reid has sponsored at least $47 million in earmarks that directly benefitted organizations that one of his sons, Key Reid, [RW1] either lobbies for or is affiliated with.”

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder made the list due his corruption and cronyism within the Department of Justice as the most politicized Department of Justice in decades and the Operation Fast and Furious scandal.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was a given to make the list as she “lied about the events surrounding the Benghazi massacre and is the only First Lady to have been the subject of a grand jury investigation not to mention joining President Obama in taping a television ad apologizing to the Muslim world for the obscure video, spending a reported $70,000 in taxpayer funds on the ad buys.”

In the following days and weeks, the deception by Clinton and President Obama came to light that the obscure anti-Islam video was not the cause for the attacks on the Benghazi U.S. Consulate, in which four Americans including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens were murdered by Islamic terrorists.

Remarkably, Clinton suffered some kind of a medical event that has so far not allowed her to speak to Congress. NBC News’ chief science correspondent Robert Bazell thinks there may be more to Hillary Clinton’s hospitalization.

Lastly of the most notable four corrupt politicians and most likely “the” most corrupt politician, is President Obama.

Judicial Watch outlined five of the most serious charges of corruption by Obama that included illegal recess appointments, unprecedented secrecy, and his illegal immigrant actions by executive decree – and in apparent violation of his oath of office – his administration would stop deporting and begin granting work permits to younger illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children.

The other two were his unconstitutional czars and using his unelected power when he used executive privilege to protect Eric Holder.

Judicial Watch also presented dishonorable mentions for 2012 that included Former Sen. John Edwards (D-NC), Rep. Michael Grimm (R-NY), Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, Gen. David Petraeus, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).

Judicial Watch noted that Senator Reid, Attorney General Holder, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are repeat offenders of their top ten most corrupt politicians.

In regards to President Obama, “The federal government under Barack Obama is off the rails and out of control. And now, with Obama having been given the “flexibility” of a second term, it can only be expected to get worse,” Judicial Watch said.
