Unfortunately, the drama and lingering battles of divorce can take a heartbreaking toll on anyone including and especially the children who are caught in the middle. According to Radar Online, such is the case in the Bethenny Frankel and Jason Hoppy divorce proceedings as both parents feud over custody of their only child.

It has been revealed that an order was issued on March 28 for the pair’s 3-year-old daughter, Bryn, to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. More specifically, an exam is to be conducted which specializes in child and adult psychiatry was ordered by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Ellen Gesmer. The former talk show host and her soon-to-be ex-husband, a real estate agent, must also turn over all mental and health records pertaining to their daughter.

Frankel, 43, and Hoppy,42, who have been separated since December 2012, were summoned back to court last week for an emergency hearing due to the revelation of Frankel being named in another child custody suit. Annabelle Bond, a British socialite and activist, claimed billionaire Warren Lichtenstein to be “deadbeat father” and living a lavish lifestyle which involved Frankel. She later denied her accusation regarding the two being romantically involved. Frankel, in fact, is dating wealthy 34-year-old Michael Cerussi who comes from old money Florida. His late father was a trial lawyer and his mother, a magazine editor.

Although Frankel’s talk show has been cancelled recently, the former reality star says she has no plans to return to ‘Real Housewives of New York City.’ One last note, no matter the outcome, it is hoped the child comes out unscathed and healthy in all areas of her life. Yes, divorce happens, but life does go on.
