Judge Judy may be taking the stand instead of sitting behind her desk. A lawsuit has been brought against Judge Judy Sheindlin by Patric Jones. Jones is claiming Sheindlin and Jones’ ex conspired to sell her china to Sheindlin, according to the New York Daily News on March 14.
Patric Jones’ estranged husband Randy Douthit is an executive producer for the TV show “Judge Judy.” Patric believes that Judge Judy and Douthit conspired to sell her china to Judge Judy at a cheap price.
The Christofle Renaissance cutlery and Marley china was sold to Sheindlin for $50,000 in 2009. The transaction was made without Jones’ knowledge according to her.
Jones sued Douthit over the china, but she soon found out that Judge Judy had purchased the china from Douthit. The judge hearing the case ordered the return of the fancy cutlery and plates, but the items are still in the possession of Judge Judy.
Judge Judy Sheindlin has made it very clear that she is not returning the china. She also made it clear that Patric Jones needed to find better things to do with her spare time. Patric has said she is willing to drop the lawsuit if Judy will be willing to return the china. Do you think Judge Judy should return the china? Sound off in comments below.
