Judge Alex Ferrer will be back on the bench with new cases starting Monday, Sept. 2. As "Judge Alex" begins its eighth season, viewers can look forward to cases involving ex-roommate battles, car payments that suddenly stopped, objectionable photos, and a relationship gone wrong.
Judge Alex may not have the spunk of Judge Judy or speak Spanish when worked up like Judge Milian, but Judge Alex is definitely one to watch! An ex-police officer, Alex E. Ferrer has been in the criminal justice field for many years. When he was just 19 years old he became one of the youngest police officers in the state of Florida. From there, he served as a patrolman, detective, undercover officer, and trained for the SWAT team.
Ferrer pushed on to complete law school with his doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. After that he served as a judicial director and a volunteer reserve police officer. He was elected judge at the young age of 34 and presided over a variety of case types from murder to conspiracy indictments to kidnapping to robberies. He even saw many family court cases.
As an associate administrative judge, Judge Alex helped to manage Miami’s Criminal Division and was selected as a finalist for a position in Florida’s Third District Court of Appeals. Judge Alex Ferrer is certainly no stranger to the judicial system! To top it off, he is also a teacher, author, inspirational speaker, family man, scuba diver, marathon runner, and licensed pilot.
Judge Alex does all of this while displaying smiles and charm on his court show. If you are a fan of the show, you are sure to be excited for the new season to begin Monday! If you have never seen "Judge Alex" you can check for show times in your city.
