Written and directed by Richard Shepard, "Dom Hemingway" is described as a larger-than-life safecracker with a loose fuse who is funny, profane, and dangerous.
After twelve years in prison, Dom Hemingway (Jude Law) sets off with his partner in crime Dickie (Richard E. Grant) looking to collect what he’s owed for keeping his mouth shut and protecting his boss Mr. Fontaine (Demian Birchir).
After a near death experience, Dom tries to re-connect with his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke), but is soon drawn back into the only world he knows, looking to settle the ultimate debt.
Director Richard Shepard was born in New York and studied film at New York University. His television directing credits include the award-winning pilot episode of Ugly Betty, and several episodes of the hit HBO show Girls. He has directed the features "The Linguini Incident" (1992), "Mercy" (1996), "Oxygen" (1999), as well as "The Matador" (2005), which also screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.
