Jude Law is set to be a present will be a presenter at the 83rd Academy Awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on ABC, accordng to an announcement telecast producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer. The 83rd Academy Awards will be held on February 27, 2011.
Jude Law received his first Oscar® nomination in 1999 for his supporting performance in “The Talented Mr. Ripley,” which starred Matt Damon. He received his second nomination in 2003 for his lead performance in “Cold Mountain,” opposite Nicole Kidman.
Jude Law’s other film credits include “Sherlock Holmes,” “The Holiday,” “The Aviator,” “Alfie” and “Road to Perdition.”
Jude stars in two movies being released in 2011. "Contagion" is an action/thriller, directed by Steven Soderbergh, starring Jude Law, Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Winslet. "Hugo Cabret" is a mystery about an orphan living in the walls of a Paris train station in the 1930s directed by Martin Scorsese.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2010 will be presented on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
