During filming, Joyce and her husband, Michael Ohoven, witnessed a distraught Yolanda, claiming to have been abused by Ken Todd. Immediately, the couple felt horrible for her, and felt that she was the victim. However, after seeing what actually went down when they watched Monday's show, Joyce has changed her tune.
“My husband and I didn’t see the alleged aggression when it occurred. After Ken and Lisa left, Yolanda was shaking like a leaf, almost crying and saying that she had never had a man put his hands on her," Joyce recalled in her blog, according to a March 11 Radar Online report. "This became a big deal at the party and Carlton Gebbia, Kyle Richards and myself were all shocked and felt genuinely sorry for her — to the point where my husband gave Yolanda his jacket.”
Yolanda certainly made it seem as if Ken had really hurt her, but he hardly even touched her, so for her to act like such a victim has been disappointing for most. Claiming abuse against someone is extremely serious and not something that should be thrown around over the graze of a hand.
“The most painful to watch was that Ken barely even touched Yolanda when she swatted him away… Now that I have seen the ‘abuse’ and it looks much more like Ken just reaching for her hand, I can’t believe she would go to such lengths and try to assassinate his character,” Joyce continued.
Joyce has a real point here. Yolanda seemed to stop at nothing to make Ken look like a horrible villain, but she was antagonizing him to no end whenever he was anywhere near her. She slams him for being disrespectful, but her actions were nothing to be proud of.
