A special concert made up of youth who won their spot in the band is coming to Faith Chapel. The JoyFM/Mozingo Music’s Youth Worship Band concert is coming to Faith Chapel on Friday, February 24, 2012. The special praise band is made up of youth who won their spot through a contest hosted by 99.1 Joy FM. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Joy FM is one of the St. Louis area’s Christian music stations. They play contemporary Christian music and sponsor concerts and contests throughout the year.
Earlier this year, Joy FM put out the call to fill the spots of a youth praise band. The band would be led by Josiah Zigo, a guitar teacher at Mozingo Music.
The band is now together and ready to perform at Faith Chapel. Faith Chapel is located at 967 Waterbury Falls, in a plaza just up the road from Mozingo Music in O’Fallon.
According to Mozingo Music's website, the contestants & sponsors include:
Vocals: Melissa Silistria and Katherine Trout
Electric Guitar: Tim Kholostoy and Emily Roth
Drums: Michael Seifert
Keyboard: Lauren McClain
Bass: Stephen Hedlund
Josiah Zigo is one of several Christian instructors at Mozingo Music. Other instructors who are more than willing to teach praise and Christian music include:
John Scott – Guitar (Electric, Acoustic and Bass)
Wendy Dicken – Piano
Melissa - Voice
