Joy Behar is saying goodbye to ABC’s ‘The View’

It’s hard to believe that Joy Behar has been a co-host on “The View” on ABC for more than 16 years. Behar has decided that it is time for all that to end, according to Us Weekly on March 7.

Behar reportedly has plans to leave “The View” in August when her contract ends. Behar is the only remaining cast member other than Barbara Walters. Meredith Vieira and Star Jones from season one left in 2006.

Behar has been a big part of “The View” since its beginning and was key to the shows success from the very beginning. Behar wants to focus on other areas in her life. Behar says she has been writing a play and neglecting her standup.

Joy Behar will definitely be missed by all of her fans. “The View” on ABC has seen many new faces over the years, but Joy was one that has been there since the beginning. The current panel of hosts include Whoopi Goldberg, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. Best wishes to Joy in her future endeavors.
