Joy Behar longtime co-host of the daytime talk show "The View" has decided not to renew her contract, and will be leaving the show in late August according to Thursday, March 7 reports from Gossip Cop.
Joy Behar decision to leave “The View” has been reportedly a hard one for the panel co-host who has been on the show since 1997.
A rep for “The View” tells Gossip Cop, “Joy Behar has been instrumental in the success of ‘The View’ from the very beginning. We wish her all the best in this next chapter, and are thrilled that we have her for the remainder of the season.”
Joy Behar is the last of the remaining original cast member besides creator Barbara Walters, with whom Behar initially alternated as the show’s fourth panelist before becoming a full-time co-host during the first season.
There has been no official replacement named as of yet.
Who would you like to see replace "The View's" departing Joy Behar? Is it time for the show to go in another direction and possibly replace Joy Behar with a man, someone like Anderson Cooper perhaps?
