Two weeks ago Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins and then went to the Chiefs headquarters where he then took his own life.
Until now no one knew what could cause a young man who seemed to have it all, a career in the NFL, a loving family and new born daughter to decide to take his own life as well as someone else's.
According to the New York Post Belcher’s mother Cheryl Sheppard told investigators that her son had doubts on the paternity of his three-month old daughter.
Unfortunately no one may never know the exact reason why this tragedy occurred. What’s important is that when it comes to relationships people need to realize that the decisions they make can affect the other person involved in the relationship in unimaginable ways. This is possibly a clear example.
Our hearts go out to the families involved and especially to the child. She may never know her parents but hopefully she grows up to be healthy and happy because she is surrounded by love.
