Journeyman Stud, owned by Brent and Crystal Fernung, is hosting an Open House viewing of its stallions and facilities on October 28-29 in Ocala, Florida. Journeyman Stud has also officially released its stallion roster and the various stud fees for breeding season 2014.
Two new stallions have joined the sires at Journeyman Stud for 2014, bringing the roster up to 13 horses. The new stallions are Brethren and Winslow Homer.
Brethren is a grade III winner, who also placed in the Grade II Tampa Bay Derby. He is sired by Distorted Humor. Brethren will stand his first season at Journeyman Stud at a fee of $6,000.
Winslow Homer is a graded stakes-winning son of Unbridled's Song. The stud fee for Winslow Homer has been set at $5,000.
Heading up the sires is twice Florida champion Wildcat Heir whose stud fee is set at $10,000 for 2014. He is sired by Forest Wildcat. Wildcat Heir has been at the top of Florida’s sire lists since he produced his remarkable first crop of two-year-olds in 2009. In 2013 Wildcat Heir covered 125 mares.
Journeyman Stud is pleased to present this roster of stallions to Florida and the nation. It is generally believed that this diverse and noteworthy group of stallions provides an excellent choice of breeding stallions.
