The gray male wolf known as OR-7 spent more than a year wandering the mountains of northern California. Originally born in Northeastern Oregon, OR-7's GPS collar allowed Oregon's fish and wildlife staff to track his movements. Traveling more than 15 miles a day, he eventually crossed back into Oregon in March 2013. OR-7 is the only documented wolf in Western Oregon and California.
Bruce Forman with Crane Culture Theater has created a one-of-a-kind performance about the journey of OR-7 and conservation issues related to gray wolves. Through dance, music, poetry and storytelling myths, and lectures the two-hour program will tell the story of the gray wolf who wandered into California in 2011.
The Ecokinesis Dance Company and Forman's Crane Culture Theater along with lectures by Defenders of Wildlife and the Endangered Species Coalition combine art and science in this amazing presentation. Storyteller Tom Wade presents stories from the wolf den!
