Joss Whedon smashes ‘Planet Hulk’ rumors

Movie site Latino Review surfaced rumors of “The Avengers” phase three to be about “Planet Hulk.” The early speculation went as far as saying that the after credits clip at the end of “The Avengers 2” will show Hulk being transported over to space. Fans were psyched, but on Tuesday, March 5, ultimate source Joss Whedon smashed those rumors in an interview with IGN, crushing fans dreams.

Writer and director Joss Whedon, didn’t just deny the rumors, but went as far as saying, “Well I’m really not supposed to comment, but no, that’s nonsense.” Nonsense? No, it would have been brilliant! Fans unfortunately have to take his word for it though, after all, it was revealed earlier last month that Whedon has already completed the outline for “The Avengers 2” so a “Planet Hulk” would already have to be in place.

Many fans are disappointed to hear the news. Some fans are even speculating that Whedon isn’t being completely honest and keeping quiet about the Hulk-size plans. Only time will tell.

“The Avengers 2” is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
