When you ask Josie WHY she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, she answers without hesitation, “Because they need me and it brings me joy!”
A Certified Nursing Assistant is a special person – they bring more than education and skills to the position with influence, they bring their heart. They bring their desire to help patients with healthcare needs; an individual with a strong work ethic and ability to perform the duties they are certified to perform.
Whether they choose to work in an Assisted Living community, nursing home, hospital, adult daycare center or personal homes, their duties are to serve their patients. For Josie, she prefers personal homes with more of a one-on-one relationship. Her goal is to make the patient’s journey an easier one.
The primary benefits of personal home care include:
• Delivered in the comfort of the patient's home
• Easier for family and friends to visit
• Promotes healing and provides more safety from infections
• Allows more freedom and independence
• More affordable than inpatient care
• Tailored to the needs of each individual patient
• Reduces re-hospitalizations
Personal Home Care Benefits for Patients
The number one benefit of personal home care is that it allows patients to receive personal care in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. For aging and homebound individuals, in-home care facilitates them in remaining as functional and independent as possible, providing a much higher sense of security and dignity.
Receiving personal home care helps to reduce unavoidable readmissions to the hospital, and studies have shown that patients recuperating from illness, injury, or surgical procedures heal more quickly and more successfully when recovering at home versus in a medical facility.
What makes Josie Texidor a special CNA? Her clients sing her praises with outstanding letters of recommendation…
“She is the kindness and the most caring care taker I know.”
Josie Texidor was my dads’ caregiver for over a year. She is the kindness and the most caring caretaker I know. She takes care of all his needs from morning to night. She cooks, cleans, and what ever is needed. Josie treats my dad as if it was her own. She will go to doctors appointments and to the grocery store with him. When off duty if we get in a bind and need someone right away, Josie will come to our rescue. Josie always has positive attitude and has a great personality.
“She is very compassionate, gentle, heart-warming, honest and attentive.”
Josie Texidor came into our lives February 2012. She is my Father's caregiver.
Josie is an amazing angel. She is very compassionate, gentle, heart-warming, honest and attentive. As she gets to know the person she very quickly picks up on their health issues, likes/dislikes and their habits and strives to ensure all facets of each are handled with the utmost professionalism, heart and love.
She is willing to go the extra mile to make the person feel comfortable and safe. She strives to ensure the person has a nice day. I have always been very comfortable with her issuing medication, bathing, toileting and most of all menus. When Josie was with my Father, I knew he was well taken care of. Never had one minute worry when she was with him. He absolutely adores her.
Josie is an excellent cook and makes it a point to ensure that the person is very well fed to their liking and their needs. She is now a true family friend and we are all the better for God sending her into our lives.
Whoever has Josie Texidor as a caregiver is a very fortunate person.
It is without complete reservation that I recommend Josie as an A #1 caregiver. She should actually be teaching younger caregivers, but love, compassion and caring can only be given to us by God and she received a large dose of this from him.
