Josh Lucas is soon to be back on the market. His wife of less than 2 years has filed for divorce according to a Jan. 24 post on E! Online.

Jessica Ciencin Henriquez apparently filed for divorce earlier this month though People was the first outlet to break the news on Friday. The couple married in March of 2012 without much fuss. Lucas had announced his engagement on The Tonight Show and the wedding took place about 2 months later.

The couple’s brief marriage has seen its share of ups and downs. In September of 2012, Jessica revealed to Huffington Post that she had stage-1 cervical cancer when she met Lucas. She told him about it early in their relationship. Doctors recommended a hysterectomy when She became pregnant and opted to go ahead with the pregnancy.

Jessica said at the time, "If the cancer has progressed because I did nothing for a year to contain it or treat it, I don't feel any guilt, and I don't feel like it was a bad decision. Every morning that I wake up with Josh and Noah, I'm even more assured that it was the right decision for me."

Noah Rev Mauer (Mauer is Lucas' real last name) was welcomed into the world in July of 2012.

The couple first met at a dog park in New York a chance meeting like you’d see in a movie. Henriquez described the meeting, saying, "I don't believe in love at first sight at all, but lightening definitely struck. There was something there between both of us and we were both kind of blown away."

Lucas whose most recent film is “Little Accidents” talked about fatherhood in December 2012.

"Everyone says it's the greatest adventure you'll ever have and I'm amazed at how much I'm loving it.”

This was Lucas’ first marriage.
