Josh Duhamel to host 2013 Kids' Choice Awards

Josh Duhamel has just taken on a very big role, and it has nothing to do with the “Transformers” movies. On Jan. 23, the actor was named host of Nickelodeon's 26th Annual Kids' Choice Awards. You can check out Nick’s announcement here.

Duhamel- who’s a “Fanboy and Chum Chum” alum-- is no stranger to Nick awards. In 2011 he was named the Arm Fart Hall of Fame champion. (What else can you expect from an awards show that douses its guests with green slime?)

Of his coveted hosting gig, Duhamel told Us Weekly, “Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards is a great event that celebrates kids by honoring their opinions and taps into the kid in all of us. I have a lot of secret plans for when I host the awards, but I can tell you I'm excited to lead millions of kids into total crazy fun, chaos . . . and, of course, endless slime!"

The Kids' Choice Awards honor kids' favorites in film, music, sports and television, and kids decide who will win via online voting and texting. The 2013 nominees have not yet been announced.

In the Philadelphia area, The 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards will air on March 23 at 8:00 p.m. on Nick.
