Josh Brolin arrested for public intoxication in Santa Monica

Josh Brolin might have partied a little too much for New Years. TMZ reported on Jan. 5 that Brolin was arrested a little before midnight on Jan. 1 in Santa Monica. He was booked into jail at 3:02 a.m. and he was then released after paying his $250 bond at 7:14 a.m. Brolin was not given an arrest citation, so he won't have to go to court regarding the incident and it is over and done.

Some of Brolin's friends told TMZ that he was visiting with a group of his guy friends that night and ended up having "too much fun."

This is not the 44-year-old Brolin's first brush with the law, but in the past, all of those incidents have been dismissed also. In 2004, Diane Lane, his wife, called the police after an incident with him and he was arrested for spousal battery at his home. Lane ended up not pressing charges.

Back in 2008, Josh was arrested with Jeffrey Wright and other crew members of the Movie "W" after an incident in a bar in Shreveport, Louisiana. Brolin was released on $334 cash bond, and all charges were dropped.

The "Men in Black" star is set to appear in the movie "Gangster Squad" along with Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and Sean Penn. An opening theater date is set for January 11.
