Josh Brolin was arrested for public intoxication on Jan.1 according to a Jan. 5 report in the Daily News. The arrest came just before midnight in Santa Monica, Calif. The “True Grit” star was booked just after 3 a.m. and released on a $250 bail about four hours later.
Law enforcement officials say there will be no further punishment and the actor will not have to go to court over the incident.
Back in December 2004, Brolin, 44, was arrested and charged with battery. He and wife Diane Lane were having an altercation and she called police. Then, in 2008, he was arrested in Louisiana for his part in a bar fight that involved him, Jeffrey Wright and several other crew members of the Oliver Stone film “W.” Charges were dismissed in both cases technically leaving Brolin with a clean record.
Josh is the son of actor James Brolin and stepson of singer-actress Barbra Streisand. His first marriage to actress Alice Adair lasted from 1998 to 1994 and resulted in two children. An engagement followed to actress Minnie Driver. He then married Lane in 2004. He has been acting since 1985 and has three films scheduled for release in 2013.
