Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are officially divorced. On Dec. 2, 2013, People.com reported that the divorce was finalized in Los Angeles Superior Court on Nov. 27, 2013, nine months after Brolin and Lane announced their divorce. Lane and Brolin married in 2004. It was the second marriage for both of them.
Lane (who is 48) had taken the last name Brolin during the marriage, but as part of the divorce, she has now dropped Brolin as her last name, according to court records.
Brolin (who is 45) has been arrested numerous times for getting into violent fights, including an incident in 2004 when he was accused of domestic violence against Lane just four months after they were married. She declined to press charges. In November 2013, Brolin checked into rehab for substance abuse.
Lane and Brolin are Oscar-nominated actors. She received a nomination for Best Actress for the 2002 movie "Unfaithful," while Brolin was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for the 2008 movie "Milk."
Brolin and Lane did not have any children together. Their children are from their previous marriages. Brolin's kids are Trevor Mansur (born in 1988) and Eden (born in 1994), from his marriage to actress Alice Adair, who was his wife from 1988 to 1994. Josh Brolin's father is actor James Brolin.
Lane has a daughter named Eleanor Jasmine (who was born in 1993) from her marriage to actor Christopher Lambert, whom she was married to from 1988 to 1994.
