Josh Barnett unsure if he'll end up in the UFC after final Strikeforce fight (Video)

According to a Jan. 5 report from MMA Weekly, Josh Barnett just wants to keep fighting.

Barnett, 35, isn't sure if he'll end up in the UFC after his final Strikeforce fight, but he's ready to let his management team figure out the best deal for him.

“I'm here to fight, that's what I do. The rest of it, I'm sure there's always a spot for me around the world to go beat people up,” Barnett told MMAWeekly Radio.

Barnett fights Nandor Guelmino on Jan. 12 in the final Strikeforce card, and he's not quite sure where he'll end up after that.

“I think it's great that they're asking about it, all the folks that are buzzing around the internet and otherwise putting that out in the air, that's fantastic," Barnett said. "I am not thinking at all about the UFC or anything other than fighting right now. That is stuff that doesn't matter until you've gone out there and won your fight.”

Barnett hasn't fought in the UFC since UFC 36, where he knocked out the legendary Randy Couture.

He went on to compete around the world, choosing other MMA organizations besides the UFC.

While he hasn't fought in the UFC in over ten years, Barnett says he holds no lingering hostilities towards the promotion.

"I'm sure my management will do the best to put me in the place where I belong, if that is the best fit for me at the time,” Barnett said of the UFC.
