One of "The Vampire Diaries" beloved characters is going to get the axe in a very emotional death, a report claimed Thursday, Feb. 14.
During an interview with E! News, "Diaries" star Joseph Morgan revealed that one of the characters in the show is going to die during next week's episode. According to Joseph, even the cast and crew are very emotional over this death, so fans should prepare to shed some tears over it.
"It's always like an emotional thing for us as well, because we are filming in a world where we see each other all the time, and then suddenly someone isn't a part of that word anymore," Joseph told E!, "The episode where it happens and the episode afterwards, are tremendously emotional episodes, so get your tissues ready."
There hasn't been any speculation yet as to whom the unfortunate character may be, but with a new spin-off in the works featuring the Originals, some names come to mind. Since the new show will be set in the past, it is possible that the dying character could be one of the Originals, such as Rebekah (Claire Holt).
Since Joseph referred to the person leaving the show as someone the cast and crew see "all the time," it's probable that it's a recurring or regular character, such as Rebekah.
Joseph didn't say that it would be a main or major character, but then again, that could be the producer's way of surprising fans with a shocking death once again, just like when Aunt Jenna and Alaric bit the dust in the last two seasons.
At this point, it could be anyone: Bonnie (Kat Graham), Matt (Zach Roerig), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen)... Who knows, but fans should definitely be prepared!
