Deadline has given the word that The Dark Knight Rises and Looper star Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to have a part in the long-awaited 'Sin City' sequel, 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For'. He will be taking the role of Johnny, one of the main characters within the graphic novel adaptation. The sequel had already began production and Gordon-Levitt is rumored to be shooting his scenes sometime within this month.
There may be a new face in Joseph Gordan-Levitt but many stars are coming back to reprise their roles from the first 'Sin City', including Jaime King who will be reprising her role as Wendy, the twin-sister of the prostitute Goldie. Clive Owen will also return as his character Dwight but can change within the upcoming months. Other actors also reprising their roles are Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson and Jessica Alba
Unfortunately, some actors are not coming back to the 'Sin City' universe. Jamie Chung is playing the roller-skating assassin Miho, originally played by Devon Aoki, while Dennis Haysbert is taking over for the late Michael Clarke Duncan. Deadline has also heard some rumors to Josh Brolin having a role in this sequel also.
With an all-star cast like this that is continuing to grow, hopefully the sequel will live up to the original 'Sin City'. 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' is scheduled to be released October 4th 2013.
