From 7 to 11PM on Saturday, January 14th 2012, Art Fusion Gallery is presenting a collective exhibition of 40 emerging to mid-career international artists entitled "Odyssey 2012."
The first exhibition of the year, Art Fusion in the Design District will present an eclectic vibrant exhibition guaranteed to appeal to a wide array of contemporary art lovers.
Among the artists exhibiting is Argentinian-born Jorge Heilpern aka Tangoman, a truly eclectic artist who is showcasing "Internal Puppets," detailed drawings that are characteristic of the many talents Heilpern is able to bring to life.
"The internal puppets have been with me since my earliest dreams which they began to take shape on paper more than half a century ago," said Heilpern.
"The endless work of learning through one's own practice and the illiterate knowledge obtained by gazing, continues to fill the hours of my daily life in a volitional practice, almost unconscious," added Heilpern.
The drawings depict the artist's different moods, the wanderings of his mind which just like the music he is able to play, represent his deepest and nameless feelings, beyond the language of words.
Born in Buenos Aires to Romanian and Polish parents, Heilpern is also an economist and accomplished musician who has been awarded an Emmy for music work for NBC TV show and has recorded various records. He has toured all over the US and performed at the Woodstock Festival in 1994. He is currently based in Miami.
