Legendary NBA star Michael Jordan is facing a paternity lawsuit, according to a Mar. 1 report in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. An Atlanta woman, claiming that the Charlotte Bobcats owner is the father of her son filed a lawsuit against the basketball star.
According to TMZ, Pamela Smith filed a paternity suit on Feb. 6 in Fulton County Superior Court, alleging that Jordan is the father of her 16-year-old son.
Smith, who is requesting full custody, child support and medical expenses for son Grant Pierce Jay Jordan, claims she became pregnant after having sex with the then married basketball player in 1995 and delivered their son in June 1996.
Smith welcomes a paternity test to prove her claims and wants her son’s legal last name to be Jordan. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that according to court records, Smith does not have an attorney for the slated Mar. 12 court hearing.
